We know how easy it is to get out of a routine when the holidays come around. Let’s face it, we trade our sweaty yoga mats for heated blankets too. There’s just so many delicious treats to eat, family time to catch up on and Netflix shows to binge.
We’ve curated this advent calendar workout list to make working out this holiday season a little more fun and a little more festive! These 12 workouts range from breathing exercises (stressful holiday shopping, anyone?) to high-intensity HIIT routines that you can do with a friend or family-member. With no repeats and a holiday surprise at the end, you’re guaranteed not to get bored.
Day 1- Yoga workout
Grab a yoga mat and get ready to build muscle strength and increase flexibility. You can also expect to experience reduced stress levels.
Repeat each movement three times. Hold each move for 40 seconds & take a 20 second break in-between. Switch sides if needed.
Day 2- Get ready to sweat! 3 sets for 30 minutes
Improve both your cardio endurance and your strength!
Repeat 3x with no rest between exercises. Take 1 min rest between sets.
50 jumping jacks
20 bicycle crunches
50 high knees
15 oblique v-ups (right side)
20 squat jumps
15 oblique v-ups (left side)
15 forward lunges
20 plank knee crosses
15 reverse lunges
Day 3- Jabs by Gina

Day 4- Dance workout – Dancebody

Day 5- Cardio workout - TeamBody
Obe Fitness has 22 live classes a day and 4,500 on-demand classes. They have dance, HIIT and LIIT, yoga, and specific target workouts. Check out their page and find a class to try! Let's not forget about how fun their branding colors are! Add some sunshine to your day.
Day 7- Breathing work
The holiday season can come with a lot of stress. Take today to breathe and take some weight off your shoulders. This video is a great guide on how to breathe from your diaphragm. Day 8- Ab workout
Let’s activate those abs! Repeat 3x.
- 75 crunches
- 50 bicycle crunches
- 25 reverse crunches
- 30 second side plank (both sides)
- 45 second plank
30 second flutter kicks
Day 9 - Today is a little lighter of a workout but you'll be lifting your spirits and getting some steps in! Head outside for a long walk while listening to holiday music! Here is a "Top 100 Merry Christmas Songs" Playlist...
Day 10- Pilates workout with Pilatesppl

Day 12- Holiday Dance Walk - We had a LOT of fun with this one.
