Welcome! I am the COO and CFO at RECESS. I work behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly and on time.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's degree of Engineering Management from Dartmouth. I use that knowledge to help our lab formulate our awesome products and ship them to your door! I love efficiency, problem solving and making the impossible possible.
I grew up in Connecticut with an older and younger brother and was a total tomboy. I played every competitive sport under the sun, but loved playing soccer the most. My mom, born and raised in Mexico, probably had a thing or two to do with it. Not only did she make sure I had a ball at my feet by the time I could walk, but she coached my club team all the way through high school.
My first job out of college was working at McMaster-Carr learning how to run a multi-billion dollar operation. I then jumped into the startup world when it was just getting started in NYC back in 2010. I worked to build and grow brands from the ground up.
Two years ago I moved across the pond to London where I started consulting full time for startups. I also had the luxury of spending weeks traveling the world. I now live in Greenwich, CT with my husband Nick working from the RECESS satellite office.
